16 - Tower
Lancing down with divine intervention, a fissure of change sears the world we knew into pieces. Any mystic worth their salt will say that to truly call in a spiritual awakening? There must first be a clearing.
Few energies are more disruptive, chaotic, (or creative…), than Tower. It is a solar flare that leaves us sun blind, gasping, grasping. It takes down the structure of our life to scorched, packed dirt - leaving no known landmark for us to recognize as to where, or who, we were.
Tower is neither maleficent nor benevolent, it is simply itself. The loss we mourn in this experience is only because we’ve pushed some structure in the way of Natural Order. The pain we may feel is the cleansing of wounds either endured in this lifetime or passed down along our ancestral line.
Tower knocks us down to a place where we are visceral, raw, primal. To be deeply in it is to experience an intervention of such potency, such clarity, that it will make our eyes water – with joy, or sadness? Perhaps both, as they are inextricably linked to transition and ascension.
When our vision is finally returned, and rest assured that it will - we are left seeing with new eyes. What stretches before is birthed anew. Fecund land with small shoots of tender green growth that we cherish as the Who that we will be.
